The RPOA was founded in the early 1990s to monitor government activity at various levels and advocate on behalf of West Rouge residents with property backing on to the Ravine
Beach and Boardwalk Project
The Association has been dormant for a while but is now active again because the federal government, through Parks Canada, is planning to build a new trail through the Rouge National Urban Park (RNUP). The proposed boardwalk would be approximately 3km long from the Glen Rouge Campground on Highway 2 south down to Rouge Beach.
There are three potential routes, one of which abuts many properties on Rouge Hills Drive, Taylor Road, and West point Avenue.
